Who operates this app
The Cymarshall Law app, including its CyVision family features, is operated by CyVision Media LLC. For privacy questions or help, email orders@hiphopintheflesh.com. A grown-up should handle support requests and avoid sending children’s private information.
Writing and progress on your device
Stories, titles, reflections, weekly actions, completion records, reading bookmarks, listening positions and prompt history are saved on this device. The app does not upload your saved writing or reflections to our servers. Unsaved drafts may be lost when the app closes. There are no app accounts, cloud synchronization, public posts or in-app messages in this version. Use made-up names and leave out school names, addresses and sensitive details.
Local security and backups
Local records are not separately encrypted by CyVision. Your device’s security, backup and transfer settings may affect who can access or copy them. Device or cloud backups may include app data. We cannot recover writing kept only on your device; export copies you want to keep.
Parent controls
A salted PIN hash, recovery-code hash, failed-attempt count and temporary lockout time are stored on this device. The PIN and recovery code are not sent to us. A local parent PIN is not verified age or identity, or verifiable parental consent. Unlocking is temporary and ends when you return to family screens or leave the app. Keep your recovery code private; support cannot retrieve it. Erasing saved writing and progress does not reset parent controls.
Selected family audio
Selected family recordings are compared with a stored SHA-256 file checksum before playback. A changed or unrecognized file is blocked. A verified copy can remain in the app’s temporary device cache, which the operating system can remove. This is not a permanent music download or a guarantee that content suits every age. The separate original collection may include strong language or mature themes.
Music streaming and website connections
Music streams from www.hiphopintheflesh.com over HTTPS using our existing Bluehost hosting. Audio requests disclose your connection IP address, request time and requested recording to the hosting infrastructure. Public previews remain available. Full recordings require verified Plus access and short-lived, track-specific streaming links. Parent controls separately restrict the original collection. The player may request audio before you press Play. Hosting and security systems may retain technical request logs. Do not share protected streaming links. Stories and reflections are not attached to music requests.
Book narration and device voices
The recorded book narration in this version is included with the app. These recordings use Cymarshall Law’s voice with AI assistance. Where device read-aloud is used, book text is passed to your device’s speech service. The selected speech engine and voice settings determine its behavior; do not assume every device voice works offline. CyVision does not record your microphone through these features.
Creative prompts, ads and subscriptions
Writing prompts and continuation suggestions are included in the app; your writing is not sent to a live AI writing service. This version has no integrated advertising or analytics service. Android subscriptions, when enabled in your build, use Google Play billing. The app sends the platform, subscription product ID and purchase token over HTTPS to our verification service. A full-song request also sends its track ID. Our server checks subscription status, expiry and acknowledgement with Google before granting access. Google handles payment information; our app has no payment-card entry form. The verification plugin processes purchase tokens but does not save raw purchase tokens in its own database or rate-limit file. It keeps keyed, hashed rate-limit identifiers and temporary counters for abuse prevention; expired counters are removed when subsequent requests update that file. No stories, reflections, parent PINs or recovery codes are sent with verification. Google processes purchases under its own privacy policy. Apple subscription verification is not enabled in this version. Development preview controls do not purchase or renew a subscription.
Exporting, sharing and printing
Text and PDF exports are created on your device. Sharing or printing sends the selected content to the app, folder, recipient or printer you choose. Those destinations have their own data practices. Reflections are excluded from individual story and PDF exports unless you select them. Export all saved work includes saved reflections and other saved records. Review the contents and destination with a grown-up. Temporary exports can remain in the app cache.
External websites and shopping
Shop, album-purchase, Bandcamp, podcast and YouTube links open external services after a grown-up check. Those services may collect account, browsing or payment information under their own policies. CyVision has no payment-card entry form. An arithmetic check is not proof of age or identity and is not verifiable parental consent. A grown-up should manage external browsing and purchases.
Deleting writing and progress
In Our journey, Delete this creation removes that saved story. Erase saved writing and progress resets saved stories, reflections, bookmarks, listening progress and the current draft. This is ordinary app deletion, not guaranteed forensic erasure. It does not reset parent controls or delete temporary family-audio cache files, previously exported copies, temporary export-cache files, recipients’ copies or device backups. Manage those separately through the relevant device or service controls.
Families and privacy requests
Creative family activities are intended to be used with a grown-up. Children do not need to provide real names or contact details to write. CyVision’s app features do not request camera, contacts or precise-location access. A parent can review and delete device-only writing using the app’s controls. If personal information has been sent to us, contact orders@hiphopintheflesh.com so we can assess access, correction or deletion requests. We may need limited information to verify a request.
Support correspondence
When you email us, our business email providers process your address and message so we can respond. The orders mailbox forwards to our business Gmail inbox. Email and forwarded copies are separate from device-only app writing. Please do not send sensitive child information. Contact us about retained correspondence or deletion.
About this notice
Updated October 20, 2026. This notice covers the Cymarshall Law app, including its CyVision family features, Android Plus verification and protected streaming when enabled. Some test or older builds have purchases disabled. The app remains in internal testing; this notice does not mean every described paid feature has completed testing.
