TIME…The illusion, the reality, how we use , misuse and abuse it…

I don’t think people understand time.  What it is, what it isn’t, who deserves it and who does not.  Suppose there were a way to charge people for your time on the spot.  I bet,  then people wouldn’t be so eager to waste your time as if it were their own.  Imagine, someone is about to start a conversation with you and you say hold on Sir , let me start my timer, I charge for my time by the minute and I charge higher depending on the lack of accuracy of what is about to come out of your mouth, ok go.…. 

I do believe that time is an illusion. I say this because in my personal experience time changes depending on the way you use it or misuse it. Time is so valuable, yet it is readily accessible by everyone for free. I am highly selective on who I give my time and energy to, as everyone does not deserve it. In this instance, it is okay to be selfish, it is called self-preservation. Just because someone wishes to take of you, does not mean you have to oblige and give of yourself. Opening yourself up to everything and anything is a sure way to close yourself down. People will drain you of your energy if you let them. We have to protect our energy. Our energy is protected by how wisely we use our time. What we focus on most tends to become bigger in our lives, and this includes positive and negative. If we spend our time dwelling on a problem, not only does that waste our time, but it drains our energy. Spending that time looking for a solution would be much wiser. If we entertain bullshit, it too wastes our time and depletes energy. So many people complain about not having enough time, but are we really using our time as well as we can? How many of us spend hours scrolling social media or binge watching television? Most of us, I know I too am guilty. I am in the middle of a series or two now! After a long work week sometimes we just want to relax… I get it. However, we are all responsible for our time. We have to be accountable and know what we spend our time on most is what will continue to manifest in our lives. How you use your time, paints a portrait of who you are. Sometimes, I despise how calculating my brain cannot stop being, other times I know it is the greatest gift. It is the gift and the curse. Being so conscious of time does not always allow you to live in the moment, and there are things occurring in the moment that can never be captured again. There are many moments of time, when linked together, they become our memories. So when we consciously use our time, we are actually are effectively and literally creating our memories. We all have 24 hours a day. Create your memories by strategically using your time. However, never become a slave to the clock, as the most priceless, timeless experiences can only be found in the moment. Life is about balance. To survive sometimes I straight tune people out like radio dial…. I can’t give you too much of myself or I become unbalanced and an unbalanced me is me wasting time. Be wary of those that procrastinate and then try to make their lack of time management your problem. You might be criticized for not readily giving up your time, but what is yours, it is yours. In the end you alone will be responsible for how your life turns out because of how you did or did not use your own time.
